Before we arrived: Our client was ready to update her bathroom. She didn't want to keep the window in the shower because of the damage standing water in the window can cause. She had a small space but wanted a big look. She also needed some ventilation and natural light.
Finished Project: A skylight that opens was installed to give the bathroom natural light and fresh air. New lighting adds a personal touch, and a new tile floor really give this bathroom a warm and sophisticated look. The shower really steals the show with a decorative strip and new fixtures. The deep soaking tub will invite these home owners to stay for a while and have a good soak!
Before we started, these home owners had specific issues that they needed to resolve. They had a fair amount of adequate cabinet storage, but wanted to change the layout of their kitchen a bit to add another wall of cabinets and make room for a larger, stainless refrigerator. They also had a new stove, ventilation fan and dishwasher in mind, along with changes to the bar.
Just about done! Taller cabinets that reach the ceiling and a couple of showcase cabinets with glass doors really change the kitchen already! A new window, new countertops, custom glass tile backsplash and under cabinet lighting shows off a great cooking and eating space. The undermount sink, the stainless steel appliances and the rounded bar make this kitchen one of a kind!
Welcome to 1960!! There were saggy floor issues here and it was in desperate need of updating.
After: The floors have been leveled, new tub, faucets, tile work- everything new and welcome to the year 2008!
Same bathroom but a different angle...
After: Granite countertop, undermount sink, you get the picture.
We can add walls where there were none before...
Glass french doors and custom inset bookshelf
Additional finished projects
This simple 12x12 tile design was completed in one week from demo to "sealed and ready to use". The old design had caused leaking and damage so the new window sill is sloped to allow water to run back into the shower instead of sneaking into the walls under the tile.
This guest bathroom was designed by the home owner using a ceramic tile that looks like organic material, sort of a grassy fabric. Such a wide variety of tile is available that you can really create just about any style of space that you dream of!
Northwest hospitality welcomes you to come sit a while and enjoy the greenery. The deck was constructed with wraparound steps, a built in grape arbor and a small outdoor cabinet for shoes. A handsome front door and warm outdoor lighting create an awesome first impression for guests, and the added space to relax with a good book is a welcome respite for this 800 square foot cozy cottage!
Wrap around deck gives you room for some comfy chairs to enjoy being outside.
This customer needed an outdoor space to keep the lawnmower and gardening tools, and a shed was the answer! It has a slab on grade foundation, so no shifting pier blocks or messy dirt floor.
Inset tile patterns, and infloor heating for those cold mornings!
The client had a certain look in mind. We helped her find a salvaged antique sink to bring character to her new remodeled space.
Here we replaced an existing bathtub with a five foot shower pan.
This bathroom has a safety bar which is a great feature in the shower and easy to include in your project.
Inset shower shelves- love em! A great area for shampoo, a space saver and a neat little place for creative license.
Small kitchens don't have to be boring! New cabinets, laminate counters, tile backsplash and under cabinet lighting- cooking just got a lot better!
A closer look shows that the under cabinet lights really show off your backsplash and ornamental amenities.
Here's another custom backsplash with under cabinet lights.
Beautiful granite counter with under mount sinks, and tile flooring set at 45 degree angle. Notice the inset medicine cabinet.
Another place to use granite can be a desk!
A closer shot of the same...
If you look closely, the backsplash moves with the desk.
You can see the shower seat really well in this photo. No more balancing on one foot to shave!
The deco strip gives a very european feel to the space. Check out the custom shower pan- the tile set at a 45 angle is really unique and beautiful!
Another very unique custom shower pan, and an example of the variety of tile available.
Here we're looking at the fireplace stone work.
And by the fire, a wonderful jet tub with custom tub deck.
A work in progress, the backsplash is actually set flush into the sheetrock- a strip of stones set around the sink and set with grout.
An assortment of different tiles can add flare, even in a small space!
It doesn't have to be square! This is an earth tone natural slate cut into a funky design.
